Mayor Dan O'Neil has spent his time as both a leader and pioneer in his position as Mayor since 2007. The following reflects his continued commitment to the people and spirit of Edmond.

Edmond can be Proud of Mayor Dan O'Neil's Contributions to the Centennial Project

Mayor Dan O'Neil was instrumental in ensuring the 100 year anniversary of Edmond was a memorable event and will leave an impression for generation to come. Some of Mayor Dan O'Neil's contributions:

•     Dedicated the Victorian  era Centennial Clock, in the landscaped media at 2nd and Broadway
  
•     Added Centennial Bricks  and Centennial Time Capsule, Festival Market Place Plaza
  
•     Added new Historic Route  66 signage and Centennial signs throughout the Edmond
  
•     Planted trees in the  Arboretum, Bickham-Rudkin Park and Centennial   Groves, I-35 intersections
  
•     Supported funding for Kentucky "Daisey" Statue and Pedestrian Bridge, Festival Market Place
  
•     Conducted 2007 New Year's  Gala at UCO; 2006/2007 LibertyFest parades
  
•     Approved 46 private and  public events and historic projects to promote Oklahoma's Centennial
  
•     Supported and funded  statues and park benches for Downtown and Edmond Parks
  
•     Conservation and Sustainability  Projects Initiated
  
•     City of Edmond's Internal Energy Conservation  Committee
  
•     Energy profiling and  benchmarking for most City buildings
  
•     High-efficiency heat pump  rebates
  
•     Energy Awareness Program  (Turn Me Off ) for City departments
  
•     Energy Efficient  Construction Objectives for City buildings

Edmond's Mayor Dan O'Neil Continues to invest in the Edmond Experience

"A Mayor's job is never done..." Mayor Dan O'Neil continues to pursue his endeavor to protect the Edmond Experience and continues to add his time and talents to Edmond based projects. Some of his continuing contributions:

• E-4 Home with Edmond Electric under construction
  
• Children's Safety Village approved and under construction
  
• Hazardous waste pickup instituted
  
• Dedicated OSBI (partnership with UCO, OSBI & City)
  
• Participated in Integris Edmond Medical dedication and groundbreaking
